Terms & Conditions – Maison and Aurora

 

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all products and services offered via www.maisonandaurora.com and to all agreements made between Maison and Aurora (hereinafter referred to as “the seller”) and the consumer.

 


 

Article 1 – Definitions

 

  • Consumer: A natural person who is not acting for business purposes and enters into a contract with the seller.

  • Seller: Maison and Aurora, registered in the Netherlands, offering products via www.maisonandaurora.com.

  • Distance contract: A contract concluded via a digital sales system, with all communication occurring electronically.

  • Right of withdrawal: The consumer’s right to cancel the contract within 14 days of delivery.

  • Day: Calendar day.

  • Ongoing agreement: A contract for regular deliveries over time.

  • Durable medium: Any method that allows storage of information for future reference (e.g., email).


 

Article 2 – Scope

These terms apply to all offers made by the seller and to every distance agreement between the seller and the consumer.

A copy of these terms will be provided prior to any agreement. If not practically possible, they will be sent via email upon request.

 


 

Article 3 – Offers

If an offer is limited in time or subject to specific conditions, this will be clearly stated.

All offers are described accurately and include relevant information. Images and specs are indicative and do not entitle customers to compensation for deviations.

 


 

Article 4 – Contract Formation

A contract is formed when the consumer accepts the offer and meets all stated conditions.

In case of an electronic order, the seller will confirm receipt via email.

If confirmation is not received, the consumer may cancel the contract without penalty.

 


 

Article 5 – Right of Withdrawal

Consumers may withdraw from the agreement within 14 days of receiving their order, no explanation needed.

During this period, products and packaging must be handled with care. If the withdrawal is used, the item must be returned in original condition and packaging, if possible.

The return address (within the EU) will be provided upon request.

 


Article 6 – Return Costs

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Maison and Aurora will refund the full amount paid (including standard shipping) within 14 days of receiving the returned item or proof of shipment.

 


 

Article 7 – Exemptions from Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

 

  • Custom-made or personalized items

  • Opened hygienic products (e.g., underwear, earrings)

  • Items that deteriorate quickly or were mixed with others after delivery

 


Article 8 – Pricing

All prices are listed in USD and include applicable sales tax, unless stated otherwise.

Prices will not change during a promotional period unless legally required. For products affected by market volatility, prices may vary.

 


 

Article 9 – Shipping & Fulfillment

Maison and Aurora processes and ships orders within 30 days maximum.

If delays or stock issues occur, we will notify the customer. If delivery exceeds 30 days, the customer may cancel the contract without penalty.


Free shipping is offered within the United States.

Any additional international shipping fees are clearly displayed during checkout.

 


 

Article 10 – Conformity & Warranty

The seller guarantees that products conform to the description and legal requirements applicable at the time of sale.

Any defects must be reported within a reasonable timeframe after discovery.

 


 

Article 11 – Ongoing Subscriptions & Termination

For recurring agreements, consumers may cancel with 30 days’ notice.

Auto-renewals are only allowed if clearly disclosed before purchase.

 


Article 12 – Payment

Unless otherwise agreed, payment must be made within 7 days of the end of the withdrawal period.

Any billing errors must be reported immediately.


Article 13 – Complaints

Complaints must be submitted within 7 days of discovering the issue.

Please include your order number. We respond within 14 business days. If more time is needed, you’ll be notified with a revised timeline.


Article 14 – Governing Law

All agreements between Maison and Aurora and the consumer are governed by Dutch law, regardless of the customer’s country of residence.
